3 New IDCEC-Accredited Workshops Provide Lighting Tools for Interior Designers

LightForm launches a new IDCEC-accredited workshop series developed by Sebastien Panouille, Lighting Consultant & Educator with ThinkL Studio.

One of the biggest mistakes we see happen all the time is when light fixtures are selected without understanding how the lights themselves will function within the space.

Light Labs, a series of workshops hosted by LightForm and developed by Sebastien Panouille, Lighting Consultant & Educator with ThinkL Studio, enlightens designers and architects on how to work with light to illuminate their design vision successfully.

Each workshop is accredited by IDCEC for 1.5 to 2.5 CEU units.

These hands-on workshops span three core sections: the psychology of light, lighting design and codes, and lighting applications. Hosted in LightForm showrooms surrounded by the world’s most inspiring light fixtures, class sizes are kept purposefully small so participants can be fully immersed in the discussion. There will also be two application-specific workshops: one for Office Lighting and one for Restaurant Lighting.

“Lighting is so much more than hanging a light bulb in the ceiling and having a switch on the wall,” says Panouille, “Lighting is a particular language and so I designed this workshop to teach designers how to understand this language.”

Light Labs workshops will be hosted at LightForm showrooms in Vancouver on March 21 and in Edmonton April 29 & 30. See below for full workshop list and details.
